Characters from children’s books and a popular animated movie came to life during the recent “Storybook Contest” at a local health center.
Costumes, singing and performances highlighted the annual contest at Bethany Children’s Health Center, 6800 NW 39th Expressway, a private, nonprofit hospital which offers inpatient and outpatient services for children.
Patients, ranging in age from 2 to 25, teamed up with their teachers to perform scenes from beloved children’s books and characters including “Winnie The Pooh,” “What the Dinosaurs Did Last Night,” and “Fox in Sox,” a take on “Fox in Socks” by Dr. Seuss.
