DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The owners of the Governors Square Apartment complex are looking for a third-party group to manage the location as they search for a new group to purchase it.
After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July, the owners, Uptown Partners, are now filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. This would enable an outside group to take control of the complex while Uptown Partners continues their search for a suitable new owner.
“We’ve tried to sell it,” said lawyer Robert Chernicoff. “We’ve talked to the city of Harrisburg, the redevelopment authority of the housing authority, the state and federal government to see if there is any funding or somebody else who could just take this over.”…
