Margate Unveils State-of-the-Art Fire Station 58 with Hose Uncoupling Ceremony, Tours, and Dinner

The City of Margate celebrated the grand opening of Fire Station 58 on October 30 with a hose uncoupling ceremony, presentations from fire rescue leaders, and a full dinner.

According to Margate Fire Chief Robert Lorenzo, the new station at 600 Rock Island Road includes the latest firefighting technology and is a tremendous improvement over the demolished former station.

The facility, which is 8,700 square feet and includes nine dormitory rooms, four bathrooms, a full-size kitchen, a lounge area for the firefighters, a weight room, and a storage area, cost about $5 million to build, according to Lorenzo…
