Connecticut Distilling celebrated its Grand Opening at its distillery and tasting room in Waterbury on Sept. 11. Guests enjoyed a tour of the distillery and tastes of the distillery’s spirits, which are created using green practices and ingredients, including the compounds that are often left over from the beer brewing process, including sugars, fermented beer and yeast. The spirits line uses repurposed beer from local breweries to create its flagship spirits: Charred, Drops, Fort Hill Bourbon Whiskey, Waterville Vodka and Blueberry Fields Rum. Guests enjoyed samples of the spirits line along with craft cocktails and food from a variety of local venues.
