OnQ expands with new location in former Chapel Hill Mall

AKRON — There is a new kind of retail at Chapel Hill Mall.

OnQ, a retail display company, recently opened in the former JCPenney store and main center court portion of the former mall. Industrial Commercial Properties (ICP) purchased the mall in March of 2021 and has been converting the property into a business park.

OnQ has been in Akron for over 10 years, previously operating on Romig Road in the former Toys R Us building. Paul Chapuis, founder and CEO of OnQ, said he is “super excited” about the new space for the company, which will employ approximately 100 people…
