READING, Pa. – A man found guilty of a gruesome murder involving a sword has learned his fate.
William Smoot was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without parole, followed by an additional 20-40 years in state prison, for his conviction on first-degree murder and conspiracy charges by a jury earlier this month.
Joseph Lachina, who committed the crime with Smoot, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and conspiracy back on October 3rd and was sentenced to 12-24 years in state prison…
