Not much is going well for the Panthers this year but they do have a bright spot, at least when it comes to media figures. Xavier Legette is a Carolina boy through and through. Raised in Mullins, South Carolina, the 6 foot 2 wide out played college ball at South Carolina, where he played in 41 games but really shined as a fifth year senior season, where he totaled 71 catches for 1,255 yards and 7 touchdowns. Legette was then drafted by the Carolina Panthers with the last pick of the first round, allowing him to stay in the same area he was raised, though he would have to cross the border into Charlotte, North Carolina.
