HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — In a report released Thursday, the Office of Inspector General says a Bristol police officer was justified when they shot towards a woman who opened fire in the lobby of the police station earlier this month.
Bristol police said 51-year-old Suzanne Laprise entered the lobby of the department around 10:35 p.m. on Oct. 5, firing multiple rounds into the front lobby desk office window. The office was unoccupied, and the rounds did not penetrate the bullet-resistant glass.

When officers in the building came out to investigate the noise, they tried to negotiate with Laprise, who is accused of firing additional rounds directly at the officers.
