CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A North Chesterfield man won a $1 million Mega Millions prize and a Chesterfield BP gas station received $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to Virginia Lottery.
James Holmes of North Chesterfield checked the Mega Millions’ winning numbers on Tuesday, Sept. 24 and told his wife “I think we may have won something.”
Holmes happened to be right — the numbers on his ticket matched the first five numbers in the drawing. He was just one number away from winning the $62 million jackpot…
