Hall of Fame Resort defaults on ground lease for indoor waterpark

Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Co. has defaulted on the ground lease for the indoor waterpark the company is building on its 100-acre, football-themed resort property in Canton.<\p>

According to a regulatory filing , Hall of Fame Resort (Nasdaq: HOFV) said it received a $2.6 million lease default notice on Oct. 26 from the landlord of its Gameday Bay indoor waterpark, HFAKOH001 LLC, which is an affiliate of Chicago-based Oak Street Real Estate Capital. Under the terms of the ground lease, Hall of Fame Resort subsidiary HOF Village Waterpark LLC is required to immediately surrender the waterpark to the landlord.<\p>…
