PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A hotel in the Portland metro area has been recognized as Oregon’s most haunted location.
Travel and lifestyle site Thrillist compiled a list of the eeriest sites in each state throughout the U.S., but some have spookier roots than others.

“We’re talking old state hospitals, murder sites, homes with talking dolls, and hotels so disturbing, they’ve served as the setting for some of the most iconic horror movies,” Thrillist said .
