House Report: Harvard, Northwestern Failed Jewish Students

Harvard and Northwestern Universities Under Scrutiny for Antisemitism

A recent report has revealed that Harvard University refused to label Hamas’s attack on Israel as “violent,” while Northwestern University considered removing Sabra hummus from campus to appease protesters.

Harvard administrators removed the word “violent” from a statement after a dean objected, while Northwestern President Michael Schill expressed a willingness to consider removing Sabra hummus. The report also alleges that Schill appointed anti-Israel faculty to negotiate with protesters.

The report accuses multiple universities of intentionally withholding support from Jewish students. It also highlights instances where universities failed to punish students for disruptive behavior, such as at Columbia University, where protesters occupied Hamilton Hall without consequences.

The report concludes that the universities may have violated Title VI and demands more accountability. Harvard President Claudine Gay has criticized the report, calling it “unfair” and “out of context.”
