On Wednesday, the Akron District Office of the Ohio Investigative Unit, along with officers from the Akron Police Department and deputies with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, executed seven search warrants related to illegal gambling in the city of Akron.
The search warrants were the direct result of a seven-month investigation into the operation of illegal gambling parlors in the city, according to officials.
