WASHINGTON (7News) — On Friday, a cold front will sweep through the D.C., Maryland and Virginia region and produce gusty north winds.
Along with our ever-expanding drought conditions, our soils are very dry. It’s this windy and dry weather combination that leads to the threat of wildfires.
When these conditions come together, our local National Weather Service (NWS) will issue a Red Flag Warning.
