BOSTON — A Massachusetts spa owner is accused of smuggling fake Botox and other drugs into the country and using them in thousands of injections that were administered at two locations.
Rebecca Fadanelli, 38, of Stoughton, was charged Friday by criminal complaint with one count of illegally importing merchandise contrary to law, one count of selling or dispensing a counterfeit drug and one count of selling or dispensing a counterfeit device.
Fadanelli, the owner of Skin Beaute Med Spa with locations in Randolph and South Easton, has been importing counterfeit Botox, Sculptra and Juvederm from China and Brazil since March 2021, officials said.
