MID-MICHIGAN (WNEM) – Happy Friday and the first day of November! We made it to the end of the work and school week. If you’re up with us, check out these five stories to know.
1. Candidates on the campaign trail return to Michigan this weekend. Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz is rallying in Flint today, with additional stops planned in Detroit and Traverse City. Also happening today, former President Donald Trump is campaigning in Warren while Sen. JD Vance is in southwest Michigan. Sunday, Vice President Kamala Harris will visit East Lansing.
2. Reminders as you head out to vote: there’s no campaigning allowed within 100-feet of polling places. If you happen to show up wearing something campaign related, you’ll be asked to cover it up or take it off. If you plan on voting absentee, you have to drop off your ballot in your own city or township. Election experts also said not to speak to anyone who says they’re a poll watcher or challenger…
