OVERNIGHT – SATURDAY: A low-pressure system lifted rain into eastern ND and western MN during the afternoon and evening hours. We even saw wintry mix in some areas, which led to small amounts of snow accumulation on grassy surfaces. Thankfully, that rain will move out after midnight, leaving cloudy skies during the morning commute. Widespread fog is also expected in parts of our region during the morning commute, and that fog will last until late morning. So make sure to give yourself extra time on the roads if heading out. Morning lows will also be in the upper-20s, so it will be chilly. By the afternoon, any leftover fog will dissipate, and skies will still be partly to mostly cloudy. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-to-upper-40s, slightly above average for early November. It’s not until after 10 PM that another low pushes rain showers into central and eastern ND. Overall, expect a gray but dry Saturday afternoon.
SUNDAY – MONDAY: Scattered rain showers will continue into Sunday morning, becoming a widespread, steady rain in eastern ND during the afternoon and evening hours. So you may want an umbrella. The rain moves into Lakes Country overnight into Monday morning, leading to a soggy evening commute. It‘s not until Monday afternoon that any leftover moisture moves out of our region, leaving partly sunny skies for the day. Regarding rain totals, we’ll likely see half an inch of rain or more in some areas. Besides the rain, morning lows will be in the low-40s and highs will be in the upper-40s to low-50s, and skies will be cloudy, with wind gusts up to 30 mph. Overall, Sunday and Monday will be dreary.
TUESDAY – WEDNESDAY: Election day is projected to start on a chilly note, with lows in the mid-to-upper-20s. Highs will be in the upper-40s in some areas during the afternoon hours. Skies will also be mostly clear and sunny. Wednesday will bring similar temperatures, except winds will be breezy and skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Overall, midweek is looking okay.…
