Our Sun. Our Power Wisconsin Coalition hosted a state-wide road show Oct. 1 to 3 in a push for community solar in Wisconsin.
One of the stops was at the Jeske family property in Sheboygan Falls. David Jeske had been approached by Dimension Energy four years ago to install approximately 25 acres of solar panels. Due to community solar not being permitted in Wisconsin, the project has been on hold.
To demonstrate community solar’s benefits to the state, the Our Sun. Our Power. Wisconsin coalition stopped at various properties in Wisconsin highlighting local business owners, partners, landowners and elected officials who support the push for local, clean energy. “We need this. Hospitals, businesses, schools and community members need this,” Lisa Nelson, Walmart director of public affairs and government relations, said. “I am committed to renewable energy. This is a market driven solution to clean energy solutions. How are we going to create affordable energy together? We need the legislation.”…
