Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah District fall referendum cost is $39.6 million, which is down from the initial projected cost of $43.1 million.

The cost for the district to do the entire project at once would be $62.8 million. By doing the project in phases, the school board made some adjustments to the plan and was able to cut $3.5 million from the initial projected cost.

Estimated tax impact would be $2.37 per $1,000 of property value. The district has not had a capital referendum since 1988, while neighboring districts including Plymouth, Kiel, Kohler and Howards Grove have had their most recent referendums between 2018-2022…
