Butte Falls Charter one of nine schools up for classroom makeover funding

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Butte Falls Charter School is one of nine Oregon schools that could be selected to receive funding for an upgrade through SELCO’s Regional Classroom Makeover program.

SELCO Community Credit Union announced the nine finalists Friday and is asking community members to cast their votes.

The program is part of the SELCO Steps Up initiative which aims to introduce new programs to support the changing needs of the community. The Regional Classroom Makeover program was introduced to offset the costs educators often spend from their own pockets to make needed classroom improvements. For the purpose of this program, SELCO defines a classroom as “any school learning space, including traditional classrooms, libraries, gymnasiums, and outdoor spaces.”…
