Concord Honors Over 1,800 Years of Employee Dedication; Receives Top Service Award

Last Wednesday in Concord, city officials gathered to celebrate an incredible cumulative achievement: over 1,800 years of staff dedication. At the annual Service Awards ceremony, 155 city employees were honored for their steadfast commitment, some having served for as long as 35 years, according to the City of Concord press release. These dedicated public servants, recognized in five-year increments, represent a rich community service legacy.

The celebration comes at a momentous time for the city, which recently received the Leading the Way Award from the ETC Institute. It’s not every day that a city finds itself in the top 10% of all local municipalities in the USA for the delivery of services.
