The front will approach after dark with increasing clouds and rain reaching the Monterey Bay Area around midnight. Rain is likely to be light to moderate as it slowly moves from northwest to southeast across the KION coverage areas. It should end for most cities around the bay before sunrise, but a few showers may linger into the afternoon over the hills and in the south. Winds then slowly switch offshore late Saturday into Sunday.
