GREENSBORO, N.C. — A nonpartisan nonprofit for refugees and immigrants is making one final push to get some of the nation’s newest citizens to the polls in the Triad. Church World Service is hosting a party at the polls for new citizens to register and vote early before it ends Saturday at 3 p.m.
Abdoul Raouf Ousmane came to the U.S. as a refugee from the Central African Republic five years ago and became a citizen earlier this year. The first thing he did was register to vote.
