RUSTON – Louisiana Tech had no answer to the Kennesaw State attack on Friday night. The Bulldogs fell in straight sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-18) in the Thomas Assembly Center.
KSU (11-13, 8-5) came out the gate swinging, but LA Tech (6-20, 0-13) had an answer early on. After the Owls won the first point, Charlize Williams put the Bulldogs ahead with a kill and block on consecutive points. Kennesaw State used a 6-2 run to regain the lead before Tech clawed their way back within one. However, eight consecutive points gave KSU a nine-point lead, and LA Tech wouldn’t get any closer than five.
Tech continued to hang around early in the second set. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs could only hold serve once, and Kennesaw State would gradually pull away…
