GRUNDY CENTER — Grundy Center football’s defense made life easy for the Spartan offense on Friday.

Quarterback Judd Jirovsky accounted for five touchdowns, capitalizing on some short fields generated in part by four Spartan interceptions in a 42-7 romp over West Branch for a Class 1A second-round playoff game at Spartan Stadium.
