What started as a productive way for Terrick and Venetria Johnson to spend time during COVID lockdown has now become Johnson’s Kitchen, a restaurant bringing faith and flavor to downtown Hammond.
Their menu boasts homemade Louisiana classics such as red beans and rice and crawfish étouffée, along with special creations of their own, like their Cajun crawfish bread and T’s quesadilla which features shrimp, chicken, cheese, grilled onions and sweet chili sauce. Terrick’s personal favorite is the Kingdom burger, and Venetria’s is their hamburger.
Along with physical food for their customers, the pair set out to nourish folks’ souls.
