Sherry Chen said she knew she could run a successful restaurant, having done so for years. However, leaving Chinese food behind and starting a steakhouse and burger place was new.
“I’m choosing to do something that challenges myself, and is totally new to me,” said Sherry Chen, owner of Legends Showcase Bar & Grill in Chandler. “Before we bought a building, even before we started renovation, I went to some American restaurants and worked for free for two months, just in the kitchen, just to make sauces and learn the basics.”
