PRINCETON, N.J. — The Cornell men’s lightweight rowing V8+ and V4+ crews placed second overall in their respective races at the Princeton Chase on Sunday on the waters of Lake Carnegie.
In the Big Red’s first event of the day, Cornell’s V8+ finished in second place behind a time of 12:32.612, crossing the finish line just 1.030 seconds after Princeton (12:31.582). Penn, who led at the halfway point with a 6:57.885 split, finished 98-thousandths of a second behind Cornell. Georgetown’s varsity crew was fourth after clocking a 12:38.163 time.
Cornell’s ‘B’ crew finished ninth overall and fourth among junior varsity crews after logging a 13:01.335 piece. The Big Red’s ‘C’ and ‘D’ crews finished second among their respective entries. Princeton’s 3V8+ and Navy’s 4V8+ were the top-finishing boats…
