BISMARCK, ND — North Dakota officials are finalizing 30 child adoptions ahead of National Adoption Day on November 23rd.
The State’s Department of Health and Human Services says it is a time to celebrate for not only the children, but the parents as well. A final tally is yet to be conducted in 2024, but state officials say 245 children found families from Foster Care in 2023.
“We are thrilled about the number of adoptions that will occur on this year’s National Adoption Day,” HHS Children and Family Services Director Cory Pedersen said. “All children and teens deserve to permanently be part of a family that provides unconditional love, security and support. Adoption awareness aligns with HHS’ strategic priority of supporting the advancement of strong, stable, healthy families and communities.”…
