The Applied Science & Technology Research Organization (ASTRO) of America announced that it has been selected by Florida State University (FSU) to help establish the Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education (InSPIRE), a major research and education center for the aerospace and defense industry in Northwest Florida.
As part of this partnership, ASTRO is relocating the headquarters of its AM Forward program to Panama City, Florida. This program, launched in 2022 by ASTRO President Neal Orringer and President Joe Biden, aims to improve supply chain resilience through the adoption of metal additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing.
