Chicago Police Seek Public Help to Identify Suspects in Early Morning Loop Area Burglaries

The Chicago Police Department has issued an alert for a string of commercial burglaries that occurred in the early hours of November 2nd, concentrated in the Loop and West Loop Gate neighborhoods. According to the CPD’s official statement, the burglaries took place within a short time, spanning from approximately 4:45 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.

In all reported incidents, the perpetrators forcibly entered the businesses by shattering the front glass with an unknown blunt object. Once inside, they proceeded to search the premises and take possession of the property located inside. The affected businesses span several blocks, including S. Dearborn St, W. Van Buren St, S. State St, and W. Randolph St. These events have placed an increased focus on security measures among local merchants.

The offenders have been described as a group consisting of three African American males and one African American female, all dressed in dark clothing and masks, to hide their identities. The male suspects were seen wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, multi-colored jackets, and dark-colored pants, whereas the female suspect was observed wearing a black “North Face” jacket, blue jeans, along a ski mask.
