Window on a Wider World (WOWW), dedicated to enriching the education of Texas Panhandle students through arts, science, and cultural experiences, has announced its 11th annual Youth Art Show.
The artwork will be on display from Nov. 11 through Nov. 16 and features the talent of students throughout the Texas panhandle region.
According to the announcement from WOWW, more than half the school districts within Region 16 have no visual arts program, and the nonprofit is filling the gap by offering an annual juried art show. “The WOWW Youth Art Show was created to ignite a passion for the arts in students across the Texas Panhandle. Elementary and secondary students will share their artistic talents with the public, realize their potential to become artists, and meet other students who also share their creative and imaginative talent,” the announcement says. “By participating in the WOWW Youth Art Show, students receive hands-on experiential learning allowing them to create the cultural landscape of their community.”…
