Well, it’s official. OSU has the Big 12’s worst defense. At least officially the way I judge defenses. Which is by their propensity to keep opponents out of the end zone.
Arizona State needed just 10 possessions to score six touchdowns Saturday in a 42-21 rout of the Cowboys in Stillwater, and OSU’s subsequent defensive efficiency fell to the worst in the 16-team conference.
In their last four games, the Cowboy defense has taken the field 39 times. OSU has allowed 21 touchdowns and three field goals in those games, an efficiency rating of .577 for opposing teams…
