LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After a record-setting performance, East Stroudsburg University wide receiver John Siggins has been named the PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced Monday afternoon.
Siggins tallied 239 receiving yards on just eight catches in ESU’s 45-0 win over Shippensburg, tying for the second-most receiving yards in a single game in program history, a mark set by Jordan Hallman in 2011. In the first half alone, the Allentown native recorded a program-record 205 yards and three touchdowns, breaking Mike Mancuso’s 1993 record of 193 yards. Only Evan Prall has logged more receiving yards in a game, with 254 against Lock Haven in 2006.
Siggins eclipsed his previous best of 120 yards, reaching 239 on eight catches. Averaging 29.9 yards per reception, he scored on receptions of 37, 89, 19, and 16 yards.
