Boston police arrest man with firearm after traffic stop in Dorchester

BOSTON — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Weymouth man for firearm-related offenses in the early hours of Saturday in Dorchester.

Boston Police Department officers, assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury), stopped a vehicle with an expired registration at Columbia Rd. and Holden St. at 2:10 a.m. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Cameron Leonard, and five other occupants were informed that the unregistered vehicle would be towed.
