*Missouri is bigger and more athletic than it was last year and it’s not close. How that translates over the course of a season, we’ll see, but they simply look more like an SEC basketball team than they did last year. Mark Mitchell can be a guy (he wasn’t tonight). Josh Gray is huge. Nobody has ever questioned whether Aidan Shaw is a plus athlete. Trent Pierce apparently is too. They’ve got more guys that look like they should be playing at this level than they did a year ago (which is not a high bar). And even if they might not be consistently as disruptive as they were on Monday or even as good as they were on Monday, that level of athleticism can cover up some things that Mizzou couldn’t cover up last year.
