For example, Other Racquet Social Club in East Austin, which first greeted players as a luxury members-only establishment, has reopened on Manor Road as of November 1, embracing a model that caters to a broader public. Patrons can now relish Bill’s legendary burgers from Bill’s Dips, a new food truck unveiled at the site, without the need for a pickleball reservation. As part of Other Racquet’s makeover, the bar will feature original cocktails with clever nods to the sport, like “The Sunset Slice.” The courts are open for reservations through their website, with a one-time fee of $25 and an hourly rate of $40, as per MySA.
Adding to the fray, The Picklr is spreading its tentacles across Austin and Round Rock with expectations to serve five new locations in these areas over the next year-and-a-half, as reported by CultureMap Austin.
