KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Election result processing is back on track after Kalamazoo County staff were briefly evacuated from the county’s Administration Building Tuesday night.

A boiler malfunction caused smoke to activate the building’s fire alarms, prompting an “immediate and precautionary” evacuation of all staff, according to Kalamazoo County Public Information Officer Taylor Koopman.
