OBITUARY: Theron “Ted” C Barden, 69

Below is an obituary from Ross Funeral Home Littleton Chapel:

DALTON, MA — Theron “Ted” C. Barden, 69, Dalton, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 1. He was born in Woburn MA, the son of Ralph and Helen “Pat” (McLellan) Barden. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School. In his younger days he enjoyed playing baseball with his siblings at “The Pines” Barrows Field. Since their dad’s busiest work season was summer the kids spent most of their time in the family pool having fun. Ted married Kathryn E. Kalkananjian in Wilmington, MA, on November 10, 1979, a week shy of 45 years together. He and Kathy moved to NH in 1989 and raised three children in Whitefield, NH. Later in 1999 together they built their dream home in Dalton. Ted worked in Construction for a time, he worked for the Speedway as an EMT, but he especially loved working at the North Country Class in Dalton. He enjoyed the kids as much as they enjoyed him. While Kathy was the lover of horses Ted couldn’t help but take an interest. Who else would build a barn for the horses before building a house to live in. When his health declined, he made a new friendship, a mini horse named Sugar. They were truly a pair together. He was very proud of her and loved to show her at the Littleton Annual Christmas Parade. They even took home awards. Ted was a joker and could always make you laugh. He will be sadly missed. He is pre-deceased by his parents, a son Jon-Paul Barden, a daughter Nicole Barden, sisters Eve (Barden) Danico-Harrington and Joyce Walden Brisbois, his mother in-law Loretta E. (Kiley) Kalkanajian, stepmother in-law Barbara (Comperchio-Forziati) Kalkanajian.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Kathy, son Theron “Teddy”, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, a brother Ralph and wife Laurel Barden, a sister Pat (Barden) Murphy, several nieces and nephews, and his father in-law John Kalkanajian…
