Asheville City Council: Incumbents Turner and Roney win night, along with Hess

ASHEVILLE – Incumbents Sage Turner and Kim Roney have clinched victories Nov. 5 to maintain their seats on City Council in a six-way nonpartisan race, according to unofficial results, along with clinical social worker Bo Hess, a newcomer to the council.

He will take the seat now held by Vice Mayor Sandra Kilgore, who did not run again. Turner led the night with 22.85% of the vote, Roney and Hess just behind, with 20.98% and 19.73%, respectively, per preliminary election results from the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
