Incumbent Chandler City Councilmember Christine Ellis appears to be headed for a second term in her runoff election. In early unofficial election night returns, Ellis had a 5-point lead over challenger Joseph Yang.
For the first time, it appears voters may reject Chandler Unified School District’s bond appeal, also by a 5-point margin. The district had asked for the authority to borrow $487 million, its highest request ever.
