HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Post-election grey skies dominated on Wednesday. The leaden grey color to the horizon a sign that a weak but damp weather system was passing through. While rainfall totals from this front have come in rather paltry (few hundredths to few tenths), given the extent of recent brush fires the wetness has been beneficial in helping to knock down the fire threat.
At the same time, the notion that slick roads would be possible after a long dry spell is a call to action. Slow down where leaves are on roads and anywhere the road bends whether on a rural hill or the interstate.
Off course, freshly seeded lawns are in need of rain to help foster some late season growth before winter sets in. These rains will help a bit. Sunday’s rains may be much better!…
