LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The family of three of the four people who died as a result of a massive 15-vehicle crash on I-96 over the weekend has released a statement to the public.
Three of the four killed were members of a family from Lansing, returning home from the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to attend a wedding. 6 News will not release further information at this time.

“We’re absolutely heartbroken. Our loved ones were just on their way back to Lansing from the Detroit Airport, looking forward to celebrating at a family wedding. This is a painful time for all of us, and we just want the space to mourn and support each other. We appreciate everyone’s kindness and understanding and respectfully ask that the media allow us this time to grieve privately.”…
