Rebekah’s Health & Nutrition in Lapeer will be holding their ninth annual Fall health fair on Saturday, November 9 from noon to 4 p.m. The store which was founded in 2007 to promote wellness in the community, will be offering a variety of free and reduced cost services. The event itself is free and is open to all ages. Rebekah Spencer, owner of Rebekah’s Health & Nutrition, is both a Holistic Health Practitioner as well as a Reiki Master. She said that she loves that her career allows her to constantly grow and gain more knowledge about healing through holistic medicine. In addition to the Lapeer location, the business has expanded to have locations in Grand Blanc, Clarkston and Lake Orion.

There will be an additional health fair, held at the Lake Orion location on November 16, from noon until 4 p.m. Some of the services that will be available at both fairs, include acupuncture, Reiki, henna tattoo art; fitness screenings, massage, and bioenergetic sessions. There will be Guinea Hill Soap available for purchase, an oxygen bar, as well as vibration therapy. In addition to the services offered, there will be free samples of some products available. There will also be three gift bags which will be raffled off; these will have items with an approximate value of $250 inside.

Eva Davis, owner of Love Joy Bread, will be attending the fair this year as a vendor. Davis told the Tribune that her sourdough journey had begun unofficially about ten years ago, “When I was learning more about it, I became increasingly excited for the beneficial health benefits that it offers. I started making bread for my family and friends, and then word of mouth started to spread. I was then encouraged by the amazing community in Lapeer to start selling at the farmer’s market and the response has been incredible. I have since expanded my product offerings to also include sourdough bagels, pretzels, chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls, scones and cookies.”…
