Owosso is a city in Shiawassee County, Michigan. It is located about 30 miles west of Flint and 32 miles northeast of Lansing. With a current population of 14,543, Owosso is the largest city in Shiawassee County. The city was named after Chief Wosso, an Ojibwe leader.
