FENTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Water is rising near Fenton, as the Meramec River continues to grow following the heavy rains in the St. Louis area earlier this week. On Friday, the National Water Prediction Service is anticipating high crests of flooding in areas around Fenton, Eureka, Valley Park and Pacific.
As of Wednesday night, the water was rising along the Meramec Greenway Trail in Fenton.

The NWPS says that major flooding is forecast for the area until Tuesday morning.
