Gov. Abbott talks border security plan after resounding GOP win

TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) — Following a landslide win for the GOP, Gov. Greg Abbott visited Tyler on Wednesday to discuss future plans for the state including border security and immigration.

“If you are a danger to people in Tyler or people in Dallas or wherever you may be in our country, you should be off the streets or behind bars or set back to the country in which you came,” Abbott said.

While his main concern during his stop at Kingdom Life Academy in Tyler was talking about changes he’s pushing for in education , Abbott also pushed for restoring border security.

“It’s going to take Trump time to build up the ICE enforcements like what last existed when he was last President as well as the border patrol agents, and it’s nothing that’s going to happen overnight,” Abbott explained…
