JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Three local government officials tied to a bribery scheme that has led to the resignation of one Jackson City councilwoman are facing multiple federal counts.

On Thursday, Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, and Ward Six Councilman Aaron Banks all appeared in U.S. District Court for their initial appearances.
