It’s somewhat of a tradition for NBA players, especially stars, to be booed when they return to their old stomping grounds. As such, it was par for the course when Paul George was serenaded with boos by Clippers fans when his 76ers visited the Intuit Dome on Wednesday.
George, though, was shocked at the reaction he received from the fan base for two specific reasons: a) he’s a native of Southern California, and b) the Clippers let him walk, not the other way around.
After his Sixers suffered a 110-98 loss , George didn’t hold back on the Clippers fan base, calling them “stupid” for misdirecting their anger at him rather than the organization that let him walk as a free agent…
