Desert Healthcare District Unveils Next Steps After Valley Voters Approve New Hospital Lease-purchase Agreement
PALM SPRINGS — Tenet Healthcare will continue to operate Desert Regional Medical Center and will ultimately own the hospital, Coachella Valley voters decided on Nov. 5.
Unofficial Voting results show that nearly 72% of ballots (71.66 %) the Lease-Purchase Agreement (LPA), according to Riverside County Registrar of voters. Vote counting continues and results are not final. An estimated 285,000 Vote-by-Mail and 35,000 Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) ballots still must be processed. Work on those continues.
